You wanna see clutter? Come to our house! We have accumulated 30 years worth of “stuff.” One of our first “joint” tasks when we retire will be to de-clutter. When we graduated from college and got our first apartment, we had a bedroom set, a table and 4 chairs. There was no clutter! After years of buying and not discarding, we have clutter! We have also lost our parents and “inherited” some of their personal effects, which are difficult to throw away. Clutter is physical and emotional. It is physical, material things that represent something to us. It may represent memories of the past. It may represent hopes for the future.
